My EVS experience
About 6 years ago, I finished my high school and moved from Latvia to Turkey to do European Voluntary Service (EVS). I was only 19 years old then and it was one of the turning points of my life.
Being in another country almost on my own made me to grow up, to realize the life I want to have, to overpass huge disappointments by myself and to gain few friends for life. My work, my relationships, and my attitudes of today are as they are also because of my many EVS experiences. Definitely, I couldn’t have gain all or even a half of these experiences anywhere else.
My EVS experience will never end; I feel it will always influence my life and there is no person to whom I wouldn’t advice to do EVS, for any reasons at all.
