Youth Exchanges allow groups of young people from different countries to meet, live together and develop discussions on a common interest topic.
During a Youth Exchange, participants jointly carry out a work programme designed and prepared by them.
This work programme includes workshops, exercises, debates, role- plays, simulations, outdoor activities etc. The processes that are used during a Youth Exchange are based on the methods of non- formal education.
Youth exchanges must have clear European dimension and be based on a transnational cooperation between two or more participating organizations from different countries within and outside European Union.
A Youth Exchange project can last up to 21 days.
Participants should be aged between 13 and 30 and resident in the countries of the sending and receiving organisations. Group leaders involved in the Youth Exchange must be at least 18-years old.
